Aaron Boehmer
In The Message, Ta-Nehisi Coates writes to young writers that there must be “something in you, something that hungers for clarity.” I couldn’t agree more.
Hi! My name is Aaron. I’m an early career journalist and editorial professional drawn to work that blends critical judgment with creativity to produce compelling stories.
In every fact I check, word I write, or story I report, I aim to tell active and nuanced narratives. Currently, I work as a fact checker and editorial assistant at Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles. After interning at Texas Monthly last year, I began freelancing for various publications, including The Nation, Literary Hub, Longreads, The Drift, and others.
I graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with two degrees in journalism and liberal arts (Plan II Honors) in May 2025.

I’d love to connect!
